Monaco Font - Free Download TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2
Monaco is a monospace sans-serif that has shipped with every Macintosh since 1984, making it one of the longest-running coding fonts in existence. Designed by Susan Kare, Kris Holmes, and Charles Bigelow, the font is built around clearly distinct letterforms — 0 and O, 1 and l and I are impossible to confuse — with a signature single-storey lowercase a and highly curved parentheses that set it apart from other monospace faces. The download includes a single weight in Regular with over 3,000 glyphs covering Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic scripts, available here as a free download for personal use in TTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats. It was the default terminal font on macOS until 2009, when Menlo took over. For monospace alternatives that are also free for commercial use, see Fira Code for ligature support or Roboto Mono for a multi-weight family in the monospace collection, or convert between formats using the Free Font Converter tool .
